Postdoctoral Research Associate Position
The Network Visualization Group (http://netvue.arizona.edu) at the University of Arizona is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the area of network security with emphasis on network-based intrusion detection systems. The work will be carried out at the University of Arizona, in Tucson, Arizona. The position is available immediately, initially for 1 year, with the possibility of extension for another year pending satisfactory progress.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Development of theoretical models and methods for pre-emptively detecting network threats via network data analysis.
- Implementation, testing, validation, and prototyping of the theoretical models and methods.
- Participation in externally funded research projects.
We are looking for an outstanding candidate who is highly motivated to conduct top research, with an open and collaborative communication style. The technical requirements are:
- A Ph.D. degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a closely-related field.
- A track record in highly competitive scientific research and publishing at conferences and scientific journals with global impact.
- Experience with the .NET framework will be considered a plus.
